Benito Mussolini's Life and Rule
As a child, Mussolini wasn't well-behaved. He was disobedient and was expelled from school twice by assaulting students with a penknife. He lived in Italy until his departure to Switzerland where he stayed working for some years. After some time there, he went back to Italy to fulfill his military duties. He fought for some time in the army during World War I, but some time into the war Benito was injured and could not continue fighting. After WWI Italy was left in a horrible state. Then as a wave of nationalism swept through Italy, Mussolini took his chance to introduce fascism. His small political party forcefully took over other the political opponents in the area. When the larger parties rivaled his strength, he brought together his loyal fascist fighting force (a.k.a The Black Shirts) and marched on Rome. After taking the capital by force, the rest of Italy bent their knee. Mussolini became the dictator of Italy and began to oppress his people. He was not fond of Hitler but Hitler idolized him in front of all of Europe. Benito imposed strict rules upon his military and citizens. He joined the Nazi's and their invasions across Europe. Mussolini passed a law that made all Italian Jews lose their citizenship, and banned their government and teaching jobs. In 1945, with both the Germans and Italians on the brink of defeat, Mussolini attempted to flee to Spain. He was captured with his wife on his way to escape by Italian Partisans. He was executed and thrown on the road.
